Particle Cannon A cannon that fires out bolts of charged particles. Comes in many different grades, none of which are very powerful, but do not consume very much energy. Sometimes found as a secondary weapon on medium and heavy class starfighters. Generally favoured by pirate groups as they are cheap to purchase and maintain and, whilst not very effective against well shielded targets or as powerful as plasma type weapons, they do an adequate job against non-military targets. |
