Spider

A Spider is an armoured imperial walking tank. The name "Spider" is quite unsuitable, as the machine actually only has four legs, rather than eight. Even so, the name has stuck and has never been changed.

Spiders are often deployed by imperial forces during major ground assaults, their size, firepower, armour and speed making them a formidable opponent. They tower above other war machines and can quite easily push aside, overturn and even crush opposing tanks with ease. Their weakness lies in their legs and their topsides, though these are typically heavily re-enforced and are only susceptible to bombs directed purposely at these components.

The Mitikas Empire has been known to export the tanks to other nations from time to time, although a number of (largely inferior) clones and variants are known to exist.
