Cole was serving aboard Ifrit when it was attacked by Pandoran forces during jump, causing the carrier to disengage and drop into the Coyote system. Christian Hail ordered Cole and a number of other members of the security team to escort the White Knights off the ship and help them to reach the surface of Mythos.

Cole piloted a Sled to the surface and regrouped with the Knights and many other survivors from Ifrit on Orca Beach. There they were ambushed by a number of Pandoran soldiers, that were presenting sacking New Malaga.

Though he fought back, Cole was eventually captured and eventually killed by Julian Rissard, who shot him on the beach.
