Cody Ferandez was one of the five original ATAF test pilots, who attempted to flee the CSN and the ATAF program upon the discovery of the true intentions of Operation Sudarberg, the Pandorans, and the true fate of the Mitikas Empire.

Along with Clinton Oliver, a fellow team-mate, he was assassinated on the orders of Fleet Admirial David Turner. The two were gunned down in a starport by security forces, claiming that they were terrorists preparing to bomb a passenger liner.
