A Confederation frontier star system that runs the border between Confederation controlled space and Independent World space.

Temper is home to Spirit, and an asteroid cluster by the name of Stephanie.

The Attribute of the Strong [Toggle Spoilers]

In 2621, the Temper system was selected to act as bait for the Pandoran fleet, during the first phase of Black Widow. Its status as a border system made it ideal to lure the Enemy into Helios, without allowing them to make their way too deep into Confederation space.

The Stephanie asteroid family was effectively mined with thousands of nuclear warheads for the purposes of the trap, eliminating and shattering the rocks there.

When Black Widow failed, the Pandoran fleet returned to Temper to commence their full assault on the Confederation, entering the system via the same means as during the trap (though now without threat of such an attack).
